👋 Hello 1,626 ATL Golfers,

It was so great to see the pictures coming in from the courses highlighted in last month’s newsletter. The next 1-2 weeks will be peak color so grab your favorite sweater (or buy one from a local ATL brand) and head north!

Huge thanks to our two guest contributors this month, Jim Penman and Troyce Postell. Jim saw a need for the newsletter to have information specifically for senior golfers in Atlanta and stepped right up to help. Troyce has long been a friend of ATL Golfs and was more than happy to offer his course management tips for playing his home course… The Frog. I absolutely love these additions to the newsletter.

For the newbies, the goal of this newsletter (and ATL Golfs in general) is to help keep you informed on OUR scene. Because if you are informed on who/what is part of the ATL Golf scene, you can support it.

Lastly, shoutout to subscribers Jon, Andy, Justin, Jim, Reed, Zach, and Khary for playing a round with me this month! Was a blast.

  • ICYMI: I posted the entire 18 hole Atlanta Masters and even created a scorecard mimicking the actual Augusta National Scorecard. How many weeks until I get a Cease and Desist from ANGC? 😅
    Download your very own scorecard
*I plan on changing Hole 7. When Heritage renovated, they removed a bunch of bunkers which was the main reason for matching the two holes.

Insiders only 👀

  • Last month I announced the NEW shop.atlgolfs.com and I’m excited to say that we now have 7 ATL brands in the shop! So by ordering through my store you’re supporting ATL Golfs and local brands. A true win-win.
    More brands to come!

  • I’m working on an ATL Golfs Pass where you can get discounted tee times at a bunch of courses around the area. The goal is to inspire you to try out ATL Golfs recommended courses you normally wouldn’t drive to.

  • The progress made last month to setup a fundraiser to support Atlanta Public School golf teams, has unfortunately stalled. Hoping to breath some new life into it this month.

Thanks for reading the newsletter!

I often get asked how folks can help support ATL Golfs and our mission… Other than sharing the newsletter and our content, I would say there are two ways to help:

  1. Support the local brands and let me know when you do. Being able to show the local brands that I’m making a positive impact on their bottom line is very helpful for future initiatives. Even better if you do so through the shop.atlgolfs.com site 🙂

  2. Let me know when you’re trying out a new course because of our reviews. Showing courses that our reviews are impacting purchasing decisions makes us very influential. Our goal is to use that influence to bolster courses doing things the right way, and push courses to make changes if they are needed.

Ideas, critiques and suggestions are always welcome! DM me on socials or email me at [email protected]

Appreciate yall!
-Joe
